Green Banana Porridge (or Green Plantain)


What you need:

3 Green Bananas

¼ cup Half and Half (or Milk)

½ cup Sweetened Condensed Milk

¼ cup Flour

4 tbsp. Sugar

5 cups Water

¼ tsp. Nutmeg (ground)

¼ tsp. Cinnamon (ground)

Vanilla Flavoring (3 drops)

Pinch Salt

How to do it:

  1. Peel and grate bananas
  2. Add flour and salt to grated bananas and mix well.
  3. Beat mixture with with fork while adding small amounts of water until smooth.
  4. Boil remaining water in a pan then pour mixture into boiling water, stirring constantly to prevent cooking, add milk, and let
  5. mixture simmer over low heat.
  6. Continue cooking, add milk, ad let mixture simmer over low heat.
  7. Cook for about 30 minutes then add sugar,nutmeg, and vanilla to taste.
